Cura personalis / care for the whole person.

DEDICATED TIME. PERSONALIZED CARE. ROOM TO GO DEEPER.
When life leaves little room

You make time
for everything.
What about you?

You may be capable, accomplished, and used to being the person who holds things together. That does not mean the effort is effortless—or that old experiences stop affecting your relationships, confidence, and daily life.

An intensive offers a reserved stretch of time to step away from your usual demands and focus on what has been difficult to address. Instead of starting with a weekly appointment, we design a focused experience around your goals, readiness, and schedule.

This is unhurried, collaborative work. The format is concentrated; the care is paced to you.

Two paths. Individual attention.

Choose the focus.
We shape the experience.

01 / TRAUMA & RELATIONSHIP INTENSIVE

When the past keeps
entering the present.

You understand the pattern, yet still find yourself overextending, shutting down, second-guessing yourself, or feeling pulled into familiar relationship dynamics.

This intensive creates space to explore painful experiences, the beliefs you carry about yourself, and the ways you learned to protect yourself. We may draw on EMDR, psychodynamic exploration, and DBT skills according to your needs.

Possible areas of focus: childhood experiences, relationship patterns, boundaries, self-worth, and emotional responses that feel hard to shift.

02 / ADHD INTENSIVE FOR WOMEN

Beyond holding
it all together.

From the outside, you may look organized and successful. Inside, everyday demands can feel exhausting. A late diagnosis—or a growing understanding of your ADHD—can bring relief alongside grief, anger, and years of self-criticism.

We make room for both the emotional and practical sides: understanding your story, addressing shame and painful experiences, and developing approaches to executive functioning that fit your actual life.

Possible areas of focus: late diagnosis, overwhelm, perfectionism, task initiation, prioritizing, boundaries, and more workable routines.

This is a therapeutic intensive, not a diagnostic evaluation or medication service. We will clarify fit and your current understanding of ADHD during assessment.

More than a longer appointment

A considered experience,
from preparation to follow-up.

Your intensive is planned around a defined focus, with room to adjust as the work unfolds.

01 / BEFORE

Assess & prepare

An initial assessment helps us understand your history, goals, resources, and readiness. Together, we create a personalized plan and prepare for the work ahead.

02 / TOGETHER

Dedicated time

Meet in person in Williamsburg for a two- to three-hour block or a planned experience over two consecutive days. Weekend appointments are available by arrangement, with breaks and pacing built into the plan.

03 / AFTER

Integrate & follow up

We close with attention to grounding and next steps, then follow up to reflect on the experience and discuss how to bring the work into daily life.

A flexible clinical approach

More than
one way in.

Psychodynamic work explores how earlier experiences and relationship patterns shape your present life, including the expectations and protections you may carry without realizing it.

EMDR offers a structured way to work with distress connected to selected experiences. Assessment, preparation, processing, and integration are all part of the approach.

DBT skills can support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and more effective communication.

Brainspotting-informed work may also be considered where appropriate. My training in Brainspotting is introductory, and we will discuss any proposed use together.

We select approaches collaboratively. You do not need to arrive knowing which method you want.

Clinical depth. Personal attention.

Suzanne Marmo,
LCSW, PhD

Licensed in New York & Connecticut · Certified in EMDR & DBT

I bring approximately 30 years of social work practice and experience as an educator, researcher, and clinical supervisor to my work with adults. I hold a PhD in Social Work from Fordham University and teach at the graduate and doctoral levels.

My work brings together clinical depth, curiosity about your experience, and practical attention to what life asks of you. I am particularly interested in the connection between earlier experiences, present relationships, and the effort it takes to function when your own needs have been pushed aside.

Additional training includes introductory Brainspotting training and certification in hospice and palliative care. My broader clinical background informs a whole-person perspective, while this practice focuses on trauma, relationship patterns, and ADHD.

At Cura Personalis, your care is planned and provided by me.

What formats and fees are available?

Three-hour intensive — $750
Two-day intensive — $3,000

Two-hour blocks are also available. The duration and schedule of a two-day experience, preparation, assessment, follow-up, and the complete fee will be outlined in your personalized proposal before booking. Please inquire for a two-hour quote and details of what each option includes.

Can I schedule a weekend intensive?

Yes. In-person weekend appointments in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, are available by arrangement. Two consecutive days may also be reserved when appropriate. Please inquire about upcoming dates.

Do I need to commit to weekly psychotherapy?

A weekly commitment is not required to inquire about an intensive. We assess whether focused work fits your needs and discuss preparation and follow-up. Some people may benefit from ongoing therapy or additional support, and an intensive is not a replacement for that care in every situation.

Can I participate if I already have a therapist?

Yes, an intensive may complement existing therapy. With your written permission, we can coordinate with your therapist to clarify the focus and support continuity afterward.

Is this covered by insurance?

Cura Personalis Psychotherapy offers self-pay, out-of-network intensives. Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed. Any available documentation and the fees for your proposed services will be discussed before booking.

What if I am unsure which intensive fits?

Start with an inquiry. You can describe your goals briefly, and we can discuss which focus and format may fit. Your assessment helps determine whether an intensive is an appropriate next step.

Reserve time for what matters

A full life can still
have room for you.

Ask about an in-person intensive, weekend availability, or which experience might fit. A brief introduction and your preferred dates are enough to begin.
